Honor Faith. Build Future. Campaign - May Commitment Weekend

Posted on

St Bart’s is expanding ministry 24/7 with our parish faith community and the community outside our campus to serve more people in real and tangible ways. To do this good work our parish discussed, listened and then decided that we need to expand and update our aging campus that presents so many accessibility and parking challenges. You can watch our new Honor Faith. Build Future. campaign video to learn more about St Bart’s and our vision for a campus that welcomes everyone today and for generations to come.

We’ve reached $4,313,525 toward our $8.0 million goal to address accessibility, parking and to build a new Parish Community Center, and more pledges are coming in every day. With almost 100 volunteers we’ve already met one-on-one with over two-thirds of our active parish families, and these families said “yes” to the invitation to join in by volunteering and by making a five-year pledge to the campaign to build ministry for generations to come. THANK YOU! We are also reaching out to less active families and families that have a relationship with St Bart’s but have moved away from the area. These families are also responding with pledges to support the campaign. THANK YOU!

Several current members of St Bart’s built our first sanctuary and Sunday School about 56 years ago, the building that became the current Parish Hall. They tell us that they could not have imagined what St Bart’s would become when that plan was developed, but they had faith in the vision to build a strong faith community in North County. Today they are supporting the Honor Faith. Build Future. campaign to provide for new generations of people that will come to know love and acceptance in real and tangible ways through the ministry provided by St Bart’s. Thank you for sharing your commitment to supporting families that will come to St Bart’s in the future.

What we need from you now:

Say ‘yes” when someone from St Bart’s calls to make an appointment to build a relationship together and discuss the campus plan and how you can be involved. If you have already been contacted and are thinking about your pledge, we hope that you can complete that discernment by the commitment weekends, May 12-13 and May 19-20. If you have not yet been contacted, please call the office 858-487-2159 to make that happen.

Join the Commitment Weekends May 12-13 and again May 19-20 when we will come together for our community commitment to the campaign. We’ll pass out pledge cards that we will complete together—indicating that your family has already made a pledge, make a pledge right then or request more information.

THANK YOU to everyone at St Bart’s! Your faith and support for the future of our ministry together is an inspiration to our volunteer teams, clergy, and staff. We are deepening relationships, hearing each other’s stories and are unified in our purpose to build ministry with our community. I am proud to be a member of St Bart’s and I hope that you are as well.
