This afternoon Father Mark, and a relatively new member, Jenny, were in our upper parking lot collecting masks to send up to a hospital where Jenny's sister is a doctor in Los Angeles. Apparently the hospital's stock of masks was stolen. Hundreds of new, clean masks were donated. First off, thank you. 

But here is the story within the story. A family came to donate masks in which the husband/father just had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in this brain last week. He was in the car! Mark introduced the family to Jenny and it turned out Jenny's husband Matt is a brain cancer survivor, and a powerful connection was made. How does one even begin to process this?

There is a mystery to God's way of loving us. And yet, it is constant and certainly not dependent on our control. 

Jesus sought out the most mysterious of connections. A Samaritan woman, a man born blind, even a pharisee wanting to understand but not being quite able to.
